The New Great Idea Of The Pinaon Time Tunnel

places to visit in Malaysia, where to go in Malaysia, things to do in Malaysia, what to do in Malaysia, tourist attractions in Malaysia, interesting places in Malaysia , things to do in Langkawi, what to do in Langkawi, where to go in Langkawi, things to do in Kuala Lumpur, what to do in Kuala Lumpur, where to go in Kuala Lumpur There are a lot of tourist attractions in Malaysia and surprisingly enough, a lot of them are new. One of those new attractions is the Pinaon Time Tunnel otherwise known as the History Museum of Penang. This museum is a great idea and it only opened in 2013 in the George Town area. What you will experience here is not a museum like the ones that you may be used to; the name is very appropriate as you will go through a darkened passage which takes you through all of the more important events in the city.

What makes this museum one of the most interesting places in Malaysia is that it is a very different idea. You get to learn about Penang but not the same way that you are used to. The Pinaon Time Tunnel is a private museum so they are able to do their own take on what a museum should be like and it is pretty successful. You start at the first historical mention of the city and keep going through its history to recent times.

At the beginning you see wax figures, but there is a lot more than that. There are also artifacts, maps and a lot of information for both kids and adults. A 3D art gallery is also being worked on as an addition to the museum and in total you will find 12 tunnels that take you through different stages in history. This unique setup makes the museum popular for families as both children and adults will be entertained and the kids may not even realize they are learning.

There are some museums that can overwhelm you but the reason that the Pinaon Time tunnel is one of the better things to do in Penang is that although there is a lot of information, it manages to keep your attention without overwhelming you. You can say that the size is perfect for people that prefer not to just look at a lot of pictures and artifacts to later not remember most of what they saw. The size of the museum also means that you will learn a lot and not spend much time doing it. That is why in the short time that it has been open it has already gained many fans. It will be interesting to see if the Time Tunnel sets a model for future museums.

Since this museum should be on your list of places to visit in Penang it is important to know how to get there. The area is very popular with tourists so chances are that you will not have to make time to visit because you can visit it after going to the Penang State Museum. Admission prices are RM22 for adults, RM12 for kids and students with a student ID pay RM8.

This is a new museum and one that is gaining popularity and that is why it should be mentioned as one of the things to do in Malaysia. Of course its future success depends on the visitors who enjoy the museum and keep it in good shape. Remember that because it is dark it is more important to not leave garbage behind you. Keep the place clean so that everyone in your party and after you can enjoy it as much as possible.
